The National Registry of Sex Offenders, is Unconstitutional.
Welcome to ThePedofile.com the only site that truly wants to hear both sides of the story.
My name is Timothy L. Dabbs, Something happen to me back in 2001 that changed my life forever, I plead guilty to a charge that I should have never plead guilty to. I was simply following the advice of my attorney, My attorney warned me that 7% of people go to trial yet only 1% wins. I was scared and confused throughout this whole case, my decision was under duress. He assured me that I would not be on the sex offender list because my charge was the lowest of that offense.
When I got released twenty three months later I was not on the list, then the laws changed and I was put on the list without any kind of hearing or notice. This is when many problems started happening in my life, I immediately contacted Mr. attorney, who said “the system had changed, and that's just the way it is.” “It’s designed to be like that, he said, obviously this statement meant a lot to me, yet very little to my attorney who was supposed to be representing me with due diligence.
That first year of being released was strange to me, I had to go to meetings for drugs and alcohol, which I never had any problems with, as well as a yearlong program for sexual deviants. I complied with what the court had asked of me to stay in compliance; I still had three years of supervised release to go. While attending these classes I had multiple instructors and attendees advise me that I should have taken my case to trial, in hindsight, I wish I did.
To make a long story short, I am not a pedophile, I was a guy who had a pipe shop and couple of legal porn sites, 31 questionable pictures ended up in the recycle bin on one of my company’s computers, I can understand the importance of monitoring people with pedophilia. Myself, I believe anybody that hurts a child, should have the right to a speedy trial, public hanging. These type of people surround themselves around kids, thinking sexually about them constantly, they don't have only 31 photos in a recycle bin, they have thousands of photos stored on their hard drives or thumb drives which is inhumane and demented beyond normal reasoning. I can’t begin to think how these practices are normal, and to be cast as one, it's like a death sentence to me. I don't even like other people’s kids let alone be sexually attracted to them.
Most people could not handle these people and things I've had to go through and still going through, I still have to raise my son, stay focused, keep a positive outlook on life, stay goal driven, Luckily, I'm not most people, I was raised to understand the distinction between Good and Bad or Right and Wrong, to have patience's, to be rational, but compassionate, I do what I was taught, because I believe in the values my family taught me, and I've taught my son the same ways " respect your elders", "eye contact", "if it don't feel right, don't do it", "give a hoot & don't pollute", and always "keep your head hung high, and walk tall proud",.
The registry could be a good thing, but the procedures that are implicated right now, are unconstitutional, not only to the person(s) going onto the registry, the family as well. What is not unconstitutional about putting my job, my vehicles, my home, my blood, and everything else that used to be protected by the constitution, the only thing you’re not putting on the website, is the name of my boy and his mother, if that’s not unconstitutional, then we really have some major issues in Hawaii and the rest of America to deal with. Our life’s are being put in danger, and is it really for the public's protection, or just to humiliate the perpetrator and to shame his family for being with him or her. If someone is really that bad that we have to put them on a list to warn people for the rest of their life's, should that person even be out of jail or let alone alive. All I'm saying is Chapter 846E is unconstitutional, and demand to be removed from the Hawaii Sex Offenders Registry immediately, I just want my dignity back. Are you dealing with this same issue, or similar, please join and speak your mind, because no one else will. No matter who you are, the National Registry is not fair, it became law because of the death of a little girl. Yes I know, the thought of losing my own son would kill me, but lets face the facts here, the registry is bullshit, it's unconsitutional and needs to stop now. It was meant to warn the public of a dangerrest preitor moving unto the neighbor, not to ruin the lives of a whole family. All I'm saying is, if someone is that bad, thier are only two chooses, actually three. 1. You lose it, yeah that thing hanging between your legs, not no more. 2. Life in prison. or the best choose, if you are found guility of intentionaly hurting a child, you die period.
Thats my believes, let me know yours. Thanks
